Frederick Sandys 1829 - 1904:
A Catalogue Raisonné

The timing of this exhibition has been specially arranged to coincide with the completion of Frederick Sandys 1829-1904: A Catalogue Raisonné by Betty Elzea, which is published by the Antique Collectors' Club of Woodbridge, Suffolk in conjunction with Norfolk Museums & Archaeology Service.

For the first time, all known works by Frederick Sandys are included in one volume, including untraced works about which Betty Elzea has uncovered copious amounts of information. A biographical text outlines Sandys' life and introduces new and previously unresearched aspects of his career. This stunning catalogue, divided into five chronological periods, is lavishly illustrated with numerous colour plates and hundreds of black and white photographs.

Betty Elzea is a meticulous cataloguer and former museum curator who has devoted some 27 years of research to this project, scouring the globe for examples of Sandys' art.

The RRP of the catalogue is £45.00 / $89.50. To obtain Frederick Sandys 1829-1904: A Catalogue Raisonné direct from Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery please telephone 01603 493628 or fax 01603 493623. Alternatively e-mail Antique Collectors' Club, or write to them at:
